Afternoon folks.
Step brother came round last night. He's actually moving into his new apartment now so with everything else that went on this week, it hasn't been an easy one for him even though most of it has been brought on by his own stupid actions.
Anyway, he updated us on everything that is going on/went on with the dog.
It turns out his father-in-law took the dog to the vets they generally use! The dog had some some operation in the past but has been totally fne but apparently he'd told the vet he'd been getting sick a lot and was going to need to be re-homed but he probably wouldn't cope with it all and he's really not well and this would be the best for him. All this coming from someone who is not the dog's owner.
And the vet somehow just went "Ok, i see where you're coming from. We'll put him down for you" or whatever...
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS GUY'S DAMAGE?!
My step brother went to see the vet the other day and they know who he is and knew as soon as he came in what he was there for. They haven't been able to give him any straight answers as to why it happened when they know he is the owner and wasn't informed or anything. I really feel for my step brother for this, he was sat in their office bawling wanting to know why they killed his dog...and they can't tell him why.
Yeah, the vet that carried it out is in serious shit too.
I think its still being looked into with the rspca or some other animal protection/animal rights organisation, but the rspca have said they can't prosecute against him as the animal was put down humanely. The police are reluctant to get too involved unless they get a statement from my step brother's wife against her step dad which none of us think she'll do and step brother doesn't want to get her more involved and upset over it all :/
My step brother is taking all this to his solicitor though to sue his father-in-law (and no doubt the vets) for all this and take him for whatever he can.
I know its not about the money, thats not going to bring the dog back but its about making his father-in-law "pay" in someway for what he's done. For him to suffer and regret what he's done...and not just to my step brother. He had to lie to his little girl the other day when she asked where the dog was. My step brother said he'd run away when all he really wanted to say was "granddad stole him and had him put to sleep" cause he doesn't deserve to keep seeing those kids at all. The kids adored that dog and they are going through enough with their parents splitting up and their granddad goes and does shit like that? He's fucked up majorly and nothing can be done to fix it. He really is a heartless cunt.
Sounds like the majority of family and friends are shutting him out, no one can believe anyone would do such a cruel thing, why he had to go that far and everyone is disgusted with him. His fucked up plan backfired and everyone else can see what a twat he is, that he is the bad guy and we're just sympathising with my step brother, his wife and the kids that they've got to deal with this too now.
I hope he gets majorly fucked over with the solicitors, i'd go slash his tyres and shit but with my raging over it all, everyone would know it was me and we don't need more drama.
